ABOUT THIS VIDEO: David Sinclair’s team used a virus to insert Oct4, Sox2, and Klf4 (OSK) genes to reprogram youthful gene expression and DNA methylation. The study led to the restoration of sight in mice blinded at birth. The team also found this method to work for retinal blindness.

The study just shows that we’re not losing our DNA or genes. But for some reason, when we age, we’re losing the ability to read them. Here’s the link to the published article: https://www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/710210v1.

ABOUT DR. BREWER:
Dr. Brewer started as an Emergency Doctor. After seeing too many preventable heart attacks, he went to Johns Hopkins to learn Preventive Medicine. While there, he went on the run the post-graduate training program (residency) in Preventive Medicine. From there, he made a career of practicing and managing preventive medicine and primary care clinics. His later role in this area was Chief Medical Officer for Premise, which has close to 1,000 primary care/prevention clinics. He was also the Chief Medical Officer for MDLIVE, the second largest telemedicine company. More recently, he founded PrevMed, a heart attack & stroke prevention clinic.

At PrevMed, we focus on heart attack, stroke, and cognitive decline. We serve patients who have already experienced an event as well as those who have not developed a diagnosis or event. Dr. Brewer provides services via telemedicine or in-person if you’re in the Lexington, KY area. We find a lot of undiagnosed prediabetes or insulin resistance. Treating unrecognized risk factors like prediabetes allows the reduction of risk and prevention of disease.

  1. DNA can be boiled, frozen and still survive 10,000 years to be read again .
Makes sense that what reads the DNA is the culprit.
I was anti supplement thinking it was a waste of money
But just recently science has been changing my mind
Looking forward to science informed future

  2. Dr Patrick's discussion with Dr David Sinclair is great. (FMF Clips) Aged or damaged cells retain the information of what it means to be young and fully functioning. That blew my mind.

  3. Dr. Brewer I really enjoy your program and I just have a question that I am sure is the obvious one, with all of this talk about extending lifespan I wonder what your opinion about the state of sin as expressed in the Holy Bible, and how you feel about all of that whether you believe it or not, but I am familiar with David Sinclaire from 2007 and that whole interest in that field of life extension, but as a believer and the Almighty I can't help but wonder why intelligent people such as yourself what do they come up with when they pose that question in their own mind, I know I am kind of wondering about but I am a 65 year old type 2 diabetic in my mind does not work always like I would like it too, but I know that you will get the gist of what I am saying, thank you for your consideration in this matter
