“Samadhi: a Yogic term that means enlightenment, freedom, bliss.”

There are so many different kinds of meditation out there. From sound bath meditation to dynamic meditation, it can sometimes be overwhelming to choose which kind to do!
Another question that evidence-based style thinking folks ask is, what kind of meditation will show results?

This October 12th, 2020, AyurvedaBae will begin a new series of meditations, available Monday-Friday at 11:45am on Youtube.

The style of meditation that will be offered is a style of meditation that Alejandra learned visiting the ashrams of India. In english, it is called “pyscho-somatic meditation.”

The most useful benefit of psycho-somatic meditation is that the practitioner can enter into Samadhi, or Bliss (called theta brain state in modern science), without having to become a master. The body is so wise— that this style of meditation allows the brain to arrive to this coveted state easily.

Pyscho-somatic is a pyschology term which just means, “mind and body.”

In other words, instead of trying to develop the mind for meditation, meditation is cultivated through the body first, then the mind follows (easier, right?).

Psycho-somatic meditation creates a conscious connection (called biofeedback) between the mind and the body by placing conscious attention to feelings and sensations in the body.
“You will have to understand one of the most fundamental things about meditation: that no technique leads to meditation.

The old so-called techniques and the new scientific biofeedback techniques are the same as far as meditation is concerned.

Meditation is not a byproduct of any technique. Meditation happens beyond mind. No technique can go beyond mind.”
— Osho

According to modern epigenetics, the cells of the body hold a vibration or memory based on our regular state of being (not to be confused with our natural state of being).

When the mind holds a thought— it sends a sensation to the body that is a vibrational match to the thought (ie. if anxiety is held in the mind, then fear may be held in the body). That is the essence of the bio-feedback loop.

Psycho-somatic meditation invites the practitioner to invite to create a new biofeedback loop.
The thought form of “relaxation,” in order to create a new cellular memory.

The benefits of meditation:
Relieve stress
Increase energy
Soothe anxiety
Increase emotional resilience
Increase clarity
Sharpen focus
Lower blood pressure
Increase immunity
Improve sleep
Relieve depression
Support weight loss
Improve relationships
Reduce the risk of chronic disease
Support pain management
